Addison Road
Project summary
Located on Addison Road in London, this elegant period property featured traditional sash windows and timeless architectural details that the homeowners were keen to preserve. However, the existing upper-floor sash window limited access to the balcony and restricted the amount of natural light entering the home. The challenge was to improve functionality and create a brighter living environment without compromising the property’s heritage appearance.
Working alongside BRICK Architects Ltd, Sieger Systems designed and installed a bespoke Sieger® Lux Casement Door to replace the existing sash window. Finished in RAL 9010 matt white and incorporating a carefully positioned horizontal glazing bar, the new door was crafted to replicate the appearance of the original window while introducing the benefits of modern aluminium glazing, including improved thermal performance, durability and reduced maintenance.

The completed installation of the Sieger Lux casement door has transformed the usability of the space by providing direct access to the balcony and creating a stronger connection between the interior and exterior areas of the home. Larger glazed panels allow significantly more natural light to enter the property, creating a brighter and more inviting living environment throughout the day.
Most importantly, the upgrade was achieved without detracting from the character of the building. The bespoke aluminium door integrates seamlessly with the existing façade, maintaining the property’s traditional appearance while delivering the practical benefits of modern glazing technology. The result is a thoughtful enhancement that respects the home’s heritage while improving day-to-day living for the homeowners.
